uPVC doors

Composite doors
Composite doors are a much more sophisticated version of uPVC. As the name suggests, it is made of composite materials which combine under high pressure conditions to create a tough material that is harder to break. This makes them a safer option and with a longer lifespan than uPVC. Like uPVC they are also available in a wide range of colours and designs. They are, however, more expensive. That extra cost, though, could be the difference between a broken-down door or one that stays in place if burglars are trying to get into your property. The solid material and good seal on composite doors also make them a good choice for saving on energy bills as they are more energy efficient.
Aluminium doors
Aluminium doors are sturdy, strong, and very durable – they are built to last. Available in double and triple-glazed options they are also available in a vast colour array and are easy to maintain and clean. The right lock
A solid door is all well and good, but without a decent lock you are taking your chances with burglars. You want a dead-bolt at the very least and preferably a multi-cylinder lock. Ideally though, you want something that is even stronger.

Made of molybdenum, which is 25% denser than iron, it has a melting point of 2,600 degrees Celsius.
